Two happy feet make one happy rider. Say hello to the Muxu Ride Sock.
Made from over 60% merino wool, the Ride Sock is highly comfortable, anti bacterial and breathable, offering a cuff length that gets the balance right between ankle coverage and consideration to on and off the bike style. With a slightly thicker fabric at the heel and toe box, the Muxu Sock is reinforced in all the right places for a long spinning life.
It isn't often noted, but the foot is one of the best places to attract a driver's attention at night, so with this in mind we added a woven reflective strip at the rear of the sock that will help ensure you are seen when the light fails. Discretely placed during the day, it simply melds into the design, but at night it lights up like a Christmas tree when light hits it.
Designed in Barcelona, made in Portugal, the Muxu Ride Sock is available to buy today.

Muxu's ride socks are stylish, practical, comfortable and durable, and as such go a long way to justifying their hefty price tag. They're a bit too warm for the really hot days but great for general riding, with a cut and style that performs on the road and doesn't make you look like a freak off the bike.
Made from a mixture of 60% merino wool, 38% polyamide and 2% elastane, the socks are comfortable from the off. There's a mix of different weaves used, including a thicker ribbed section along the sole that adds a bit of cushioning as well as making the socks a bit more hardy.
Cuff length is just about right: long enough to cover the ankle and look okay with normal shoes, not too long so you get weird tan lines or have to roll them down. The neutral styling helps too, with a black/grey mix and a discrete logo.
Muxu have also added a reflective strip, which is actually a reflective filament woven into the sock around the rear of the ankle. That's one of the best places to have reflective as your feet are constantly moving and it's more noticeable, and the fact it's woven in means it's there to stay too.
I found the socks very comfy and good at wicking away foot perspiration. They never felt clammy, although they do make your feet warmer than a thin road sock on a hot day. They resist whiffs well too, and come out of the washing machine looking like new.
£15 is a lot to spend on a pair of socks but they're really good, and finding really good socks is a rare joy for a cyclist. Overall they didn't quite knock the Solo Merino sock off the top of my sock hall of fame, but they're right up there in the mix. Verdict Everything you want from a cycling sock, unless one of the things you want is for it to be cheap.
Everything you want from a cycling sock, unless one of the things you want is for it to be cheap - 8/10

Muxu Rider Reviews
Best sock ever!. Review by Roberto(Posted on 12/22/10)Is it cheating that I've been using these socks whilst out in the harsh winter on my scooter??
Seriously, even though it seems silly to rave about socks, these have to be the best I've ever had the pleasure to wear! They keep my feet warm but do not suffocate like ski socks can. Just so comfortable, I don't want to take them off! I also use them for cycling too! ;-)
Great comfort, but buy the 3 pack. Review by 2wheelroller(Posted on 9/23/10)Like the Muxu Cap, these are really classic merino socks. They have a little more padding on the underside compared to my other ones from Rapha, so they seem like they'll last a long time. Anyway, they've stood up to some long rides, and now Autumn is here, I can see that i'll use them even more, as they are pretty warm.
Only thing, as a pair they are quite pricey, but as a 3 pack, they are a great deal.
Best cycling socks i've used. Review by Peter(Posted on 8/14/10)I thought these were a little pricey until Muxu brought out the 3 pack offer, so I went with that and got 3 in total. The socks themselves are so comfortable, a little padded underneath which feels great off the bike without shoes at home, but for me the best feature is the reflective yarn on the rear of the cuff. I'm still a little nervous about commuting in London after starting recently, so I like as much reflectivity as possible. Muxu are right when they say the foot is a great place to put it, as it certainly gets me noticed on the road as I pedal. Best of all, the socks don't smell after a day's wear like normal socks, perfect!
